Bio: Paul Tepper is an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley. Paul joined the Firm in 2019 in Wealth Management Technology based in New York, leading AI & Natural Language Processing (NLP) strategy within the Analytics, Intelligence & Data Technology (AIDT) group. Previously, Paul worked for Nuance Communications from 2016 until 2019, mostly recently as Product Manager for AI, ML & Natural Language Understanding and Head of the Technology Advancement Group AI Lab. He earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Communication Studies from Northwestern University, an MSc in AI & NLP from the University of Edinburgh and a BA in Computer Science, Linguistics and Cognitive Science from Rutgers University.
Title of the Talk: Conversational AI and Contact Center Automation
Abstract: Paul will give an overview of the key AI & Machine Learning (ML) technologies applied in conversational AI and Natural Language Processing (NLP) systems in contact centers today. He’ll cover how these systems are built and some of the challenges associated with designing and scaling these systems. Finally, he’ll discuss how we’re attempting to address some of these challenges in Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and where we will go in the future.

Bio: Peter Borovykh is a co-founder of RoninAi. RoninAi project combines Neural Network models for cryptocurrency forecasts, physical hardware Black Box devices managing cryptocurrency portfolios on behalf of RoninAi members, and a blockchain network combining these devices globally to achieve full transparency of portfolio management and risk management analytics.
Title of the Talk: Raspberry Pi revolutionizing IoT. How a Raspberry Pi can combine Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and Digital Assets.
Abstract: The trend towards decentralization has accelerated recently. Enterprises and startups are engineering myriads of B2B and B2C decentralized applications (DApps), but the level of decentralization is still very low. The hunger for smooth user experience led most network participants of DApps to run their nodes on the cloud. For example, 35% of the nodes sustaining the second largest public permissionless blockchain network Ethereum are being run on AWS, Alibaba Cloud, and Google Cloud. On the other hand, nodes of a more computationally intensive Bitcoin blockchain are run on specialized mining machines making Bitcoin the most decentralized and trustworthy project in the world at the moment. In my talk I will discuss a real use case of a decentralized project RoninAi that combines Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and Digital Assets embraced by a network of Raspberry Pis strategically distributed amongst global network participants. Especially during these difficult times the world is begging for more decentralization, and Raspberry Pis can enable PoCs and pilots to increase adoption of DApps by the masses.

Bio: Vasilis Capoyleas received a first class honors BSc degree in Computer Science, from Imperial College, London, UK, an MS degree in Computer Science from Rutgers University, New Jersey and a PhD degree from the Courant Institute, New York University, New York.
He was a post doctoral research fellow at Purdue University, Indiana and at the Max Planck Institute, Germany.He has several publications in the fields of Discrete Geometry and Computational Geometry.As research director of ALS S.A., he was responsible for the mathematical research and the design of the company's non linear equation and constraint solver software product.
As research director of Phenometry Inc, he is responsible for the mathematical research and the design of the company's free form
surface modeler software product.
Title of the Talk: Free form surface design by laymen using small devices: viability and economic impact.
Abstract: The exterior of a modern car is typical example of a free form surface. Designing such surfaces using existing Computer Aided Design software products is still very difficult and for experts only (actually cars are still designed using physical clay). Phenometry developed the software product Phi, based on new and proprietary mathematics. Phi makes the design of free form surfaces dramatically easier and even viable for laymen without bulky and expensive hardware tools. We present Phi and discuss its expected economic impact, with emphasis on the low end market segment of laymen using small devices.
